In this part of the story the caterpillar Lili is getting ready to transform into a butterfly and chameleon Li meets his other friends and learns how much fun it is when we all play together.
Caterpillar Lili finished her lunch and started feeling sleepy. The time has come for her to roll into a small cocoon and have a nap. She would wake up no longer a caterpillar, but a beautiful butterfly. She was so excited and couldn’t wait for the two weeks to be over and she could fly for the first time. Li, in the meantime, met his friend hedgehog Spikey.
Li and Spikey decided to play while Lili was sleeping in her cocoon. As they were walking away to look for a nice spot to kick their ball, they didn’t notice two inquisitive eyes watching them from the branches.
Hop hop through the branches the naughty squirrel Nono followed them. She picked up an acorn, aimed and threw it at chameleon Li and hedgehog Spikey. Little did they know that all Nono wanted was to play… and throwing things was the only way she knew how to.
Chameleon Li and hedgehog Spikey raised their voices to tell Nono off… but they noticed a little tear running down squirrel Nono’s cheek as she turned away to hide it.
Li gently hugged Nono and invited her to come and play ball with him and Spikey. They taught Nono how to throw it, kick it and pass it on to friends. Squirrel Nono couldn’t remember the last time she had this much fun!
“You were right! Playing together is way more fun!”, screeched Nono with excitement.
